In a few weeks I’ll march in my first P-Rade. Lately I’ve been thinking about those whose footsteps I’ll soon follow.

Mostly we notice our alumni when they invade campus en masse with lots of orange-wearing, shouting ...

    actually...they are not. interestingly--you can check with stu orefice, head of dining services--the tv's showing menus actually SAVE the dining halls money, as they don't have to print menus every day etc.

    weird, isnt it?

    Since when did the dining halls print menus every day? Sounds like someone's trying to make up a reason to justify a silly expenditure.

    Funny column Ken. This light-hearted writing style sounds like you talking in person. (If you ever write another, maybe you can make an ipod download of it.)

    And for all of you who aren’t familiar with how to look up alums in Europe, go to TigerNet. You can search for alums by geography, class year, major, type of employment, etc.… a bit stalkerish upon first learning about it, but very useful.

    Overall a fine article, but I question your use of the phrase "a Greek bearing many gifts." I'm waiting for the part where he burned down your kingdom and raped your women.
