"Tool” is the Princeton buzzword I hear most often. Probably because I am one. According to The Daily Princetonian’s dictionary, the “tool shed” houses Wilson School majors, USG members and ‘Prince’ writers. Though the term is protean, it’s ...(back to the article)

"Peak"? Is that on purpose?
haha i was going to comment that you can't be a tool because you're not in tower, but then i got to the part about being hosed. from tower, i suppose?
A tool is someone who pursues money, sex, power for its own worth at the exclusion of everything else. If someone who (openly) loves finance pursues it--like, I suppose, our valedictorian--who can complain?
See, by condemning tools at this age, we're saving them a lot of misery. It's our way of preventing ppl from becoming miserable wrecks by the time they're forty.
Don't worry about being a tool. The fact that you can comfortably talk about being hosed excludes you.
toolish behabior ISN'T widely rewarded
As someone frequently derided as a tool, I like this article a lot.
Writing an article for the prince is an action. Writing an article about whether or not you are a tool is inherently toolish. Therefore, your actions make you a tool. Also, I'm pretty certain you can't be a member of a group without that entailing certain actions you must be performing.
I am aware that pointing this out probably makes me a tool. So be it.
Hong, you're my tool.
Toolism is not rewarded, and apparently the person who wrote this doesn't know how much of a tool she really is.
The better joke/analogy is that Princeton is Home Depot, with the whole orange color.
This is a terrible article. What a tool. Seriously. If you think you're not a tool, good for you. You don't need to plead your case to the entire school. Are you kidding me?
