True, but he's certainly made good use of them. It's hard to compare his success with others precisely because of the difference in quality of initial connections/social capital.

I would bet that Frankel does not realize he's working for the most dangerous and worst President we've ever had. He does essentially, the opposite of everything our country needs to invigorate the economy. And it will get much worse. But Obama reads well!
