tragic news...
Is the USG going to do something about this?
Uhh...no one cared about Ruckus.
i cared! i'm going to have to make the hike to the public library for music now. lame.
connor dy, get us another downloading website!!!

Basically the same thing as ruckus, except anyone can use it (although the selection is a bit worse)
solution: change the date on your computer back and songs on your ruckus player, even with expired licenses, will work. if you don't want to be continually changing your computer's date, set it to today's day and month 1981, as that is the most recent year with the exact same dates and days of the week.
PS: if you don't use webmail, you may want to experiment around to make sure that emails you send are dated right
ruckus was a great service except that they violated the rights of millions by drm protecting their songs. after little research i found that drm protection in fact violates fair use media rights because it is legal to use a "drm stripping" program to convert songs for YOUR OWN use... so for this site to say that programs that strip this protection are illegal is bullshit.
