    Call me insensitive, but too much funding emphasis on disaster rebuilding assistance has its own problems. For the large areas of houses swept into the sea, one should ask why they should be rebuilt at all. A category 2 storm is not particularly out of the ordinary, and I don't think taxpayers should be perpetually subsidizing oceanfront homes in florida and the gulf with de-facto disaster insurance when the disasters are easily forseable and quite preventable, by building somewhere other than in a flood-prone zone.

    This shows where this country's priorites are, with money, not citizens. Greed is the rule of the day. This is not the country I was taught to love.
