Why does the Dean Dunne, an Administrator, get to overturn an election?
I OFFICIALLY DECLARE MY CANDIDACY FOR VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STUDENT GOVERNMENT
im so voting for ME
OMG! my security word to post this comment was "doubt"
IRONY
I HAVE DOUBTS! I AHVE SUCH DOUBTS!
The real irony is that this article is the only funny thing the Prince published today.
Just another example of how the USG takes themselves way too seriously.
The real purpose of the USG is to get jobs at McKinsey and Bain. Rarely do they actually do anything of substance for students and truly take up causes people care about. They do worthless projects like getting two-ply toilet paper and hot water faucets in libraries, low-hanging fruit that allows them to tell interviewers examples of how they had to work with administrators to "get something done".
umm whats the big deal here i thought this was resolved? sounds like a whole lot of whining from this george tsivin/ mike wang/dean dunne/ everyone in usg. i better not get any more emails about voting because of them.
Holding a revote in February would be a violation of the Student Government Constitution. Article II§F¶2 holds that the USG President has the right to fill a Vice Presidential vacancy, with confirmation by the Senate. Article VII§C¶1 states that the Vice President's term begins on the first day of Spring Semester. If a February revote is called for, and Weinberg is resultantly not seated as Vice President on the first Monday in February, the Vice Presidency will be vacant, and the only Constitutional way to fill that vacancy will be for CDY to submit a candidate for senate approval. Any election held after that date will not be a constitutionally sound method of choosing a Vice President.
USG = epic fail
