Just as a note, Kepner-Kraus is still obligated to report the results of the first vote when they are made available by the registrar's office tomorrow. § 1.3(b) of the USG Election Rules and Regulations explicitly states that the election managers must "publicly announc[e]" results of elections "including vote counts" after their receipt from the Office of the Registrar. Since the revote provision under which this decision is being made (§7.4) only allows for the contesting of election outcomes, and not elections in progress, the election currently being conducted must be completed and an "outcome" tabulated before a revote can proceed. The tabulation of an outcome is reliant on receipt of certified election results from the registrar. Receipt of election results from the registrar triggers § 1.3(b).
Mr. Scharf, you are exceedingly correect on this one. Looks like we finally agree on something :).
It's a strange world in which I agree with Will Scharf. Maybe they should have sent a few more emails "clarifying" remarks I was unaware of to begin with. I demand a re-re-vote with more official emails and will not participate in this legitimate fraud until my inbox is stretched beyond capacity!
Jonathan, I don't disagree with you as to the absurdity of this whole situation, and I empathize with you on the issue of the status of your inbox. There are however rules under which USG elections are supposed to operate, and if the USG is to remain credible those rules need to be followed.
"and if the USG is to remain credible..." Too late, too little.
I'm REALLY glad a senator felt the need to challenge the revote...it's not like this whole thing wasn't getting ridiculous already.
