College presidents donate back to their schools

    i don't really see why tilghman should be pressured to give to the university or to turn down pay raises. she's already one of the lowest paid ivy league presidents. plus, gutman makes nearly twice as much as tilghman.

    But Tilghman is also handsomely compensated for her "service" as a Google board member. Eric Schmidt is a University trustee and friend of hers. Thus, this is for all intents and purposes university compensation.

    She deserves every cent of money she earns and should receive more than she currently earns given the quality of her work.
