Let's see: I lost my job, my house payments are in jeopardy, my unemployment check is only a fraction of what I normally received via salary.
My retirement account has lost over 30%, my rainy day fund has dried up.
Yeah, looks like Princeton won't be a priority "charity" for me this year.
It appears that the University leaders, staff and alumni are taking a cautious, reasoned approach to the current financial roller-coaster which we are all riding. Princeton is fortunate to have a deep cushion from recent better years to ride the current turbulence. I appreciate the Administrators' willingness to openly discuss their concerns and plans. As the spouse of a Class of '77 alumnus and parent of a current student, I will continue to follow related stories....well-written, good reporting.
