In the 80s, we knew that one should only listen to the Cure while on drugs. It makes all the difference.
The Cure should get Timbaland to produce their next album. Maybe if they sound like all the other processed crap out there today, they'll be a little more ermmmmm relevant.
the cure aren't an 80's band
this writer is clueless
Impoverished writing style. Little or no research of topic at hand. Tired and clumsily applied critical paradigm. As a review, this earns a 2 out of 5 at best (C-). Best of luck honing your craft.
Comparisons to Phil Collins "who wrote that Tarzan song"!, George Michaels t "who makes the occassional headlines", Duran Duran who "did a comeback tour!" And the 1980's. Yes this writer is 100% clueless about what the the Cure has been doing for 30 years
the author is clueless. Not because he dislikes the album 4:13. It's a poor album. But the author makes several ignorant statements such as "the cure being stuck in 1985". The cure were the biggest band in the world in 1992.
I've been a fan of the cure since I saw them during the Pornography tour and to me he's dead on right with this review...Wish was the last great album.
George Micheal makes the headlines for casual sex on heaths with strangers and by getting stoned and falling asleep in his car inthe middle of the road - Not for his new music!
Phil fucking Collins!
This album is better you think and if you saw them on thier last tour they wipe the floor with most current bands
