Want to throw a little credit to Tom Toles for that one?

you have absolutely got to be kidding me. anyone with any kind of decency, morals, and conscience should be ashamed if they had ANYTHING to do with this cartoon. if you are too dumb to realize that hunger and homelessness awareness week is trying to MOTIVATE people to foster change rather than to point out that it exists, then you don't belong at princeton. maybe you should go back to pre-school - at least, that's how old i assume you are based on the scribbles that you call a "cartoon".

whoa comment below is a little intense, but definitely not inaccurate.. tell me, our genius cartoonist, what have YOU been doing to help hunger that you can criticize the people that make it their priority to at least do SOMETHING?

Hey cs and aa, Feel-good "awareness" raising isn't enough, you really have to DO somethign about problems if you want to solve them!! I could make people aware all I wanted about monkey pox but unless I actually gave money/time to find a CURE it wouldn't do disease-sufferers much good would it??? God how lazy and ineffectual can you get

YOU go back to pre-pre-school, you clearly missed some classes.

Guys, it's homeless people's fault anyway. Shiftless degenerates deserve to be on the street.

...And, to add a little legitimacy here, the notion that merely making individuals aware of an issue is enough to foster behavioral change is emphatically NOT supported in the massive body of empirical literature on persuasion.

Wow, this is a little ridiculous.

@gs: I was inspired by both Tom Toles and Fred Gallagher. Credit to both, just couldn't fit it in to the cartoon.

@cs: I was not poking fun at the goals of hunger and homelessness awareness week, but pointing out that its success will most likely be temporary and trying to have a laugh about it. I would love to see more help for homeless people. Also, I wish I could go back to pre-school. They had things called "manners" there.

@aa: First of all, I like to think I raised awareness of hunger and homelessness. Secondly, since I have no idea who you are I am going to assume that the sum total of your charity work is your response to my cartoon. You should really consider doing more charity work.

@Bill: This is the response you deserve.

@wolfman: Again, I think we might all derive some value from returning to pre-school. Decency and manners don't need to disappear just because you're on the internet.

@l33t: I seriously hope your original post was kidding.
I agree with you (obviously) that raising awareness is not enough. I hope that the hunger and homelessness awareness week group is doing more than just raising awareness and that some change will come, even if it is not overwhelmingly successful.
