Vikram Rao has written an excellent account of a game that I witnessed from the Yale side of the field. I would have played the freshman QB more to give him the experience that the team will need next year. The defense was excellent especially given the fact of poor field position and an offense that held the ball fewer than 24 minutes. Tom Corwin '62
It may long be past the time to end the dismal Hughes era. His overall W-L record is deceptive if you look at how few quality wins football has had since he took over. Wins over Penn, Harvard, Yale have been rarities and lately Brown and Cornell have been tough.
It is time for Gary Walters to end the Roger Hughes era as head coach of Princeton Football. Princeton Football is mired in perpetual state of mediocrity as other schools, most notably Harvard, continue to produce winning teams. Mr. Walters was very quick to replace a loosing hockey coach several years ago. He replaced Steve Tosches, who left with a winning record, after several loosing seasons.
