As an African American who preceded Michelle Robinson Obama '85 at Princeton by almost 20 years, I see a "cosmic balancing" in her ascension to the White House as First Lady. Her immediate Princetonian predecessor at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was T. Woodrow Wilson 1879 (28th Pres. of U. S.) whose racial views were contemptible.

I am the only one who mourns the loss of the third world center. I too spent countless hours hanging out in the lounge, cooking meals in the tattered kitchen attending parties that were 10 times more lively than anything at the other end of the street. Oh what a PC world we live in.

Michelle will be the third Princetonian to live in the White House. Her two predecessors were Madison and Wilson, both sons of wealthy Virginia slave owners. A remarkable transition - three cheers for Old Nassau!

ummm, she wasn't elected to anything...her "ascension" was due to her husband. I think the cosmos (whatever that is suppose to mean) is the same today as it was two days ago.

btw, Wilson was a minister's son who, although a slave owner, was not wealthy.

For the first time in my adult life I am ashamed of the ignorance displayed by American citizens.

Michelle Obama's thesis reveals a black woman deeply embittered against the dominant white society. As a political figure unapologetically pursuing policies to favor her own race over others, she will no doubt push for ever-greater amounts of affirmative action, debauching academic standards to get goodies for "her people."

Amonism, who are you? Stop being an idiot and find something productive (and coherent?) to do. Barack Obama was elected president. It's over, and not going to change. One can only hope that the change will be in the contemptible opinions and statements of people like you.

I'm glad Amonism isn't high on kool-aid like the rest of this school. What exactly has Michelle Obama done besides ride the success of Barack Obama and affirmative action?

    Truth has had it's victory.
Let us pray for more and more such victories in future.
