    I'm glad that nobody thinks it's a problem that our faculty overwhelmingly supports Democratic/liberal causes...at least, that's what I gathered from the article. Pity you couldn't find a conservative or independent to interview.

    "Largely"? 97% isn't "largely". 97% means that a certain brand of political affiliation is mandatory if you want to work here. Way to be diverse, Princeton.

    Why be tolerant of more idiotic viewpoints (i.e. social conservatism)?

    having a liberal faculty isn't a princeton-specific issue. academia in general is overwhelmingly liberal. if you want a conservative-dominated school with mostly conservative professors, go enroll at liberty university or bob jones university. i hear they're swell.

    @History:

    The problem is the slippery slope of what defines "idiotic"...and who is to decide...you? Social Liberalism often translates into (or at least coindices with) political and economic liberalism. If social liberalism is taught as dogma, how far away are we from rigid, unflinching assessments of historical figures (FDR? Kennedy? Reagan?), economic theories, or political movements?

    Also, "History", please keep in mind that people define conservatives as people to the right of them, and liberals as people to the left. REmember that you are always to the right of someone.

    Everyone decides implicitly, I'm just stating it outright.

    "REmember that you are always to the right of someone."

    Doubtful in my case.

    Reilly, you're great, but you couldn't find a single person who was outraged by this?

    I thought Princeton loved diversity?

    I guess there is some diversity though. We have radical liberals and moderate liberals. What a farce this school is.

    Nothing at the top but a bucket and a mop

    Massey is the one of the most radically liberal profesors at this school. Great source.

    Obama as one of the smartest candidates? I wonder how man Asian students transfer from Occidental to Columbia every year? I'm going to go out on a limb and say not very many.

    There was an article in the NYTimes today about whether the dominance of liberals in university faculties sways their students: the research shows it doesn't. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/03/books/03infl....
