    Guess Google can save money on lobbyists this year. Whenever a bill that could benefit Google comes before Congress, Schmidt can just call up his good friend President Obama. Guess that's change you can believe in.

    publicus-- thank you for your insightful constitutional lesson. you really think that president obama won't have a tremendous amount of influence with congress? anytime he wants to persuade one of them, he'll just host a speech in their district and 100k people will show up.

    @ publicus. That argument would only hold up if congresscritters actually had spines. As it turns out, they're nearly all invertebrates and you can expect a largely Democratic House and Senate to easily approve most of Obama's legislation regardless of its merits or legality. There hasn't been proper separation of powers for decades, and Obama sure as heck isn't going to bring it back.
