T.I. abandons talent for 'Trail' of bland hits

Written by Adam Tanaka, Staff Writer
Published: Thursday, October 9th, 2008
Two years ago, T.I. dropped "King," a swaggering, snarling triumph of an album that truly lived up to its title. It was the Southern rapper's best record yet, a brash, hedonistic and surprisingly menacing celebration of all things ...(back to the article)

If it's such a bad album, why did it break gold in it's first week? Hmm...shame on T.I. for making music people actually like and collaborating with artist that people actually like... because he isn't supposed to please the people, right?

i actually agree with you on this review. Just because someone sells millions of albums doesn't mean that the album is good it just means that the person is popular. Most people who like T.I.'s new material have never fully listened to I'm Serious and Trap Muzik, if you did you would notice that today's T.I. is different. He doesn't possess the hunger and rawness that he once had.

    Lame!!
This is probably the worst review I've read... im a die hard T.I. fan since trap muzik and I fully appreciate paper trail because it clearly represents what he is now and what he was back then... this review is nonsense

This review is actually very accurate. Paper trail is horrible, my friend sent me the album and I couldn't help but delete song after song disgusted of what T.I. half assed out to the world. I was excited for Paper Trail after hearing No Matter What, but the album just failed to impress. Perhaps impressed the 15 year olds that have no idea what real hip-hop sounds like. Just cause a rapper is popular doesn't mean they are good. Compare

LOL this is amazing- T.I. is doing so well right now and there's always some a**hole critic knocking down the great accomplishments of others because they most likely do not have any talent themselves. "Live Your Live" went straight to #1 and his concerts in NY are all sold out shows. I've heard his older material and I'll admit it is different and that's a good thing- I see an individual that has grown up and has gotten better as an artist. I see too many musicians/rappers putting out the same music used to win over their fans the first time without thinking about the changing times and the direction that music is going and wind up flopping big time. He made an excellent album that people of all ages and all tastes in music can appreciate, even those who would not normally buy rap. Mr Tanaka, you suck and your review sucks. Find something else you think you are good at because writing reviews is not one of them.

This review is perfect. He's a bitch and a COMPLETE sellout. He's such a sellout that he agreed to have his own VH1 reality show! WOW. Like the best rapper alive Immortal Technique once said- "If you go platinum it's got nothing to do with luck, it just means that a million people are stupid as FUCK." And that's obviously the case here. Hip-hop thats on the radio is really "Pop-rap." T.I., Lil Wayne, Jeezy, soulja boy, and bow wow are all industry bitches!

T.I. is a great pop star, dont get me wrong.. but for him to call himself a rapper is an insult to what hip hop is. So fuck the industry, underground forever.
