I hear Campus will be opening real soon now... ;)
I suppose a space specifically geared towards grad students (other than the sketchy, drinking-centered dbar) was out of the question? There are many, many campus spaces for undergrads already. Grad students are mostly fairly social, but due to the lack of a good meeting place it can be hard to meet people outside your own department.
But by sharing with the undergrads we get to improve our image by proving ourselves to be "social human beings"! Wow, what an opportunity! If a grad student is social without being witnessed by an undergrad, is he or she being social at all?
(vastly prefer being ignored by undergraduates)
(sad that they're going to tear down the Butler housing complex -- it is like hiding out on the moon, and you can have moon-barbecues)
