According to wiki, the quote about Lake Carnegie was "We needed bread and you gave us cake."

Your definition of graduate student is so retrogressive. Whenever the Prince addresses anything to do with grad students, it's a pat on the back accompanied with a punch in the gut.

The author should try meeting some graduate students. Many of them are lovely people and most are very interesting and accomplished as well. Why bother paying all this money to Princeton if the only thing you learn to do well is to parrot the idiotic assumptions of older parrots, ahem I mean students. Think for yourself; try not to be an idiot.

Hey, I just feel bad for the graduate students' social isolation. There must be a way to integrate them better into the Princeton scene without threatening the inherently undegraduate-dominated major institutions (read: eating clubs).

The re-emergence of Cannon Club will be a monumental accomplishment in Princeton history. I welcome the return of the clever conversation and witty repartee of afternoon tea in the card room, the hours of intense, spirited bridge games while sipping on soft drinks, the warm welcome that always greeted members of other clubs as they entered on one of those grand waltz party evenings. I am so encouraged that the days of gentlemenly conduct, to say nothing of the belly slide contests between the taprooms, are about to return to Old Nassau.

Cannon Club: We also welcome our colleagues from Elm and Dial, particularly the latter's obstacle course car races once held in their backyard - remembering the IPBP wrapped around a tree, the quintessential juxtaposition of wood and steel.
