Sophomore Justin Frick won the high jump at the NCAA East Regional Track & Field Championships at Florida State's Mike Long Track with a seven-foot, 2.25-inch jump. He reached this career-best height on his first attempt, qualifying for the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, in two weeks.

Other Tigers also had excellent performances, including junior Alex Pessala, who took ninth in the hammer throw with his toss of 194' 6", and freshman Thanithia Billings, who placed 10th in the shot put with her throw of 48' 2.5".
