As a University student who actually uses Cleveland Lane (when I go running), I wholeheartedly support concrete sidewalks. Granite will be more dangerous when wet or icy. The nearby streets all have concrete, so granite on Cleveland Ln. will be out of place and unsightly. Finally, and most importantly, this is a huge waste of public, taxpayer money. Spending $16,000 on high-tech garbage cans was wasteful enough; I cannot justify additional spending to satisfy the aesthetic pleasures of 20 residents.

LOL... "improves their property values". I recently bought a house and never once did I consider the material the curbs were made of. What next, gold plated sidewalks?

Wow--what a bunch of whiny yuppies. It's not good enough that the borough offered to do it, provided they PAY FOR THEIR OWN SIDEWALKS, no, they want the rest of the borough to pay for it? And this is news? (This is not a jab at the Prince, this is pointing out how sad and unfulfilling their lives must be.)
