Web Update: Tigers make tournament as No. 8 seed

The No. 8-seeded women’s lacrosse team will play host to No. 9 Vanderbilt in the first round of the NCAA tournament, the NCAA tournament selection committee announced Monday. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, at Class of 1952 Stadium. The Tigers (12-4 overall, 5-2 Ivy League) last took on the Commodores (13-5) in the semifinals of the 2004 NCAA tournament, when Princeton scored an 11-3 victory.

The winner of this weekend’s matchup will go on to face either top-ranked Northwestern or Notre Dame in the second round, to be held on Saturday, May 17.
