On April 16, a friend and I boarded a flight from South Korea to San Francisco, Calif., and then transfered onto a plane that would bring us to New York, N.Y. We spent a total ofroughly 20 hours in flight. ...(back to the article)

Whatever good impressions these two kids left with of Princeton's students were probably just destroyed.

Yes, the high schooler probably knows Matt Westmoreland and was therefore offered the gig. Yes this piece was sweet, but it's also not too thoughtful and because it doesn't have deeper thoughts, it's pretty pointless. If the Prince wants an article about mock trial, then write an article about the event. At times it seems like the person writing this article is writing just to fill up space because he was told to write a certain number of words. He obviously came here with the idea that he would be mocked and then talks about how that could have happened but speculates that Princeton students have tact and therefore didn't mock him? I think that if we really want a high schooler to give us an opinion on Princeton we should have one of the pre-frosh write the piece.

I enjoyed reading it. Sounds like a sweet high schooler. As to why it was printed -- the question isn't who in the Prince the kid knows, it's who in Mock Trial knows someone in the Prince. The Prince has obvious biases when it comes to extracurrics.

Come back and visit anytime! It's fun to have a completely outside view, and they seemed to view us pretty well. Good job Mock Trial.

Why was this article even printed? Are you just having random people who come visit Princeton write thank you notes to people in the paper? This seems like an assignment a third grader would be asked to write only instead of titling it "My Summer Trip" it's called "My Trip to Princeton."

I don't know, I found the naivete pretty cute. It might sometimes be good to get an outside perspective on Princeton so that we can understand how others see us. These kids were pretty much unbiased observers, and it was nice to see how others view us.

so what is the point of this guest column? who on the prince staff does this punk know? so this kid comes to princeton and gets to know kids who already live in a bubble. so what? it probably would have been better to get to see a bit more of real america, like maybe rider college down the road. as far as knowing about US law or learning about moot court, whatever. as a lawyer alum who happened to have stumbled upon the prince this morning, i doubt these kids know or learned anything about the us legal system. most importantly, they apparently failed to grasp that even nerds, in the us, primarily travel to other schools for the purposes of getting tanked and trying to land the hook-up.
