Yes. Keep the campaign positive, or you'll turn voters off.

Grant did a terrible job. Honestly, the study breaks sucked and we had no cool events. (All I got out of it was a Starbucks hot chocolate and a plate of lo mein). However, I am confident that Alec would do an even worse job. Therefore, we should just dissolve the USG and get checks back for our money.

If Alec did such a great job as president of Whig-Clio, why did they meet two nights ago and refuse to endorse their own former president? Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he ditched his club mid-semester, by running for a full year-term when he knew from the beginning he was going to take a semester off. Great leadership!

two reasons: 1. he was Whig-Clio President 2. he was studying abroad graduation is kind of important (note the understatement), and we need somebody that's better than just average for next year.

Sounds like a chance for last minute resume stacking. If Alec Williams was so interested in the class why hadn't he tried to run sooner?

I think I speak for most of the class when I say "What has Grant done for us in the last 3 years?" A study break once every semester? Please! Even if Alec's new to the job, he's done a lot of good things for Princeton, and he definitely has the energy we're lacking with Grant. I'm voting for Alec!

I love how Alec Williams plans to have "One Thesis Due Date" as part of his campaign. Obviously, the senior class president has powers more sweeping than Shirley. Go Grant! You know your ropes, you've done a great job for three years and you deserve to take your class to the glorious end!!!!

Am I just too cynical, or class president elections get contested during the junior year, because the candidates want to speak at graduation?

Grant's been dedicated to his class since day 1, serving as class president for the past three years. This is not just a toolish attempt to put class president on his resume (I don't know if we can say the same for the former Whig-Clio President). He's devoted endless energy at Princeton to the class of 2009. That's why all of the '09 officers support him--and that's why all of '09 will too!

As a rising senior, I'm 150% convinced that Alec will make an incredible Class President. It's time the Class President did something for us. This is our senior year, a good graduation depends on this. Go Alec!!!
