CEE 105 was one of the best courses I've taken as a student--and if the eight 15 pg lab reports I wrote are any indication of anything, I certainly learned something about the scientific method.
Though making up some facts along the way as the 1:57am commenter indicated, Medeiros has a great piece here--one of the best op-eds I've seen here in months. I resented Carroll's short-sighted definition of higher learning and I'm thankful that Medeiros points out that neuroscience can be about "ends" as much as ancience drama. And Medeiros has the right approach to improvements... we need to tinker with distribution requirements a bit. But there's no way we should all be forced the HUM or the integrated science curricula.
