North Dakota's second goal was not on the power play. Duncan scored seconds after Moore left the box.

I am very proud of the Princeton hockey team -- players and coaches alike. This was our greatest season ever. While our guys certainly belonged on the ice with them, UND lived up to its offensive and defensive reputation -- a really loaded team. Their goalie demonstrated why he is a Hobey Baker finalist. And, they kept the penalties to 3 -- how did they do that? I think it was a key to the game.

You are right, the Tigers' effort and heart was tremendous tonight. Princeton was not given much of a chance in this game, but they certainly earned the respect of the Sioux faithful today. It would have been easy for them to roll over to UND, especially after going down 2-0, but I felt that they played their best hockey when they were trying to come from behind. You have to tip your hat to Lamoureux, he showed why he is a Hobey Baker finalist tonight. As for the use of "outplayed," I did not mean it just in the sense of the two teams' number of shots, but more for the overall control of play. North Dakota had spurts of offense, but aside from their power play chances, I though that Princeton had the better of play. When asked in the post game press conference if he felt that the Tigers outplayed the Sioux, junior forward Lee Jubinville said yes, and North Dakota forward Ryan Duncan - who had an incredible game today, both offensively and defensively - said that "I have to say that they outplayed us for most of the game...They won their league for a reason." I agree with you that the quality of UND's shots were better - I said in my blog that Lamoureux was too good for open-lane shots that Princeton was throwing at him - but I do feel that in terms of overall hockey, the Tigers outplayed the Sioux.

I was impressed with Princeton's effort. Those kids have heart - they could play in the WCHA. But the article's use of "outplayed" is a stretch. I'd say the teams were evenly matched. While the Tigers outshot the Sioux, many of their shots were just past the blue-line with no screens set by the forwards, making for easy saves by UND's goalie. North Dakota was more selective when they threw the puck at the net. I hope the teams can meet again. It was a good game.
