Scalia sees narrow role for courts

Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia defended the Court’s role in the 2000 presidential recount in Florida and shared his views about the Court’s role in a liberal democracy before a packed audience in McCosh 50 on Friday night.

    Whig-Clio landing a big speaker? Wasn't Scalia's visit arranged by JMP with Whig-Clio and LAPA piggybacking? Just like Breyer last year. Give Robbie George credit, not Whig-Clio.

    Molly Alarcon, a Democrat, did not seem to even attempt to hide her disdain for Scalia and all things conservative. The Q&A session was hard to watch. The choice of questions was very poor.
