If WWS was not selective, many of these problems would be solved, and surely they would have the same number of majors in the end

Givingtools: good point, except that maybe those who know they want to go to Wall St should go major in econ so that they're not taking up a spot that somebody else might use, you know, somebody who might actually do what the school is training them to do.

And what if Woody Woo students enter the private sector? Woody Woo is filled with some of the most intense, intelligent students in the school. If these bright minds choose to go to Wall Street instead of to DC, we shouldn't be blaming Wall Street, we should look to DC and ask why there is no place for the bright ambitious minds that Woody Woo creates. One of the things I appreciate most about Princeton is how it respects the independence of students. A mandatory internship in the public sector is perhaps the worst idea possible. It suggests that Princeton students are not intelligent enough to make decisions on their own, and it means that Woody Woo students aren't able to explore how they will use their vast potential after graduation. Wall Street takes the best and brightest because it rewards the best and brightest. The political sector should learn from Goldman Sachs.

They might as well change the name of the Wilson School to "pre-Ibanking." Seriously.
