Thank you so much for this information. I was actually thinking about purchasing Uggs but now I certainly won't. I've emailed this article to everyone I know that I thought would benefit from it. Again, thank you so much!!!

i never knew that they were made from sheep. and i dont even own them because they are really ugly. people really need to open up and look what they are doing to innocent animals. if they fucking enjoying it so much, i wouldnt give a damn to take a knife and shove it up their ass. i would stab these people who are killing animals. it makes me sick!

I agree with your message here, though I own leather belts and boots. We often fall short of moral perfection, and this is one area where I do. I would ask PAWS, however, to consider an alternative use for donated uggs: give them to homeless shelters, needy schoolchildren or others who can't afford warm boots this winter. They'll do a lot more good on a human's foot than covered in fake blood and placed on the Frist lawn for snobbish Ivy Leaguers to ignore.

I think PAWS of whatever it calls itself needs to calm down. Yes, it is important to look good and yes, I would never wear shoes that are made out of fake leather or fake sheepskin if I can afford not to--- because that's just stupid. You guys need to realize that your demonstrations are kind of off-putting and the more you preach to the campus the more negative vibes you spread. Here's some advice: Go out to Nassau tonight and treat yourself to a good steak.

Yes, ugg boots are made from the skin of a sheep. But to then go on about fur farms is irrelevant. The skins are from animals that yes may have have led questionable lives, but they are not bred for their fur. You are only preaching to the already converted. Sorry ugg boots may be out of date to you, but to Australians they are an insitution. You should see our sheep skin slippers...............
