First of all macs are not what they seem like. Sure they come with a lot of the software you need, but there is almost a nonexistent user base of free programs. Look at Windows, you can get a version of GIMP(Like Photoshop), Music Mixers, Audio Players, Word Editors like Abiword,DVD decryptors, Bittorrent,... Sure windows security sucks but look at Linux. Essentially no firewalls or spyware blockers yet few get infected with viruses because it asks you for the root password for anything dealing with the operating system. The main reason windows security sucks is because it is the basically the only operating system where people with essentially no computer experience(That includes all those who think they're competent at computers because they can use the DOS Box). "All operating systems are the same, we all suck"

Actually there are tons of free programs available for Macs. Check out versiontracker.com — you'll find Gimp, Abiword; Handbrake; etc.

Macs sucks, it doesnt have the free choice of software that windows has, anyway today, almost all new computers support for Vistas AERO user interface (that i prefer over Osx or Linux), and vista itself improved, so i dont see any reason to choose a Mac over Vista.
