I've actually gone a whole week without buying food (actually, I spent $4 on a slice of pizza at Frist, but really didn't have to). The secret is to hit up the Rocky late-night snacks (all you can eat cereal), get your two free meals in the dining hall, and pack up food, put it in a backpack, and store it in the fridge for snacks throughout the week. It's really quite simple, though it is difficult if you want to have a balanced diet.
