Three years after Mr. Kennan's passing, containment may still provide our best answer in Iraq and elsewhere. Now, let's see which Presidential candidate decides to adapt containment to oppose Radical Islam first, McCain or Obama. Whichever of the two promotes it most effectively, will win the November 2008 election.
