Machines are tools and not replacements. Too call something exploration means a person must be there. These two facts give us the reason for manned spaceflight and my opinion the justifiable reason. I too don't agree with a lot of what the shuttle has done, but in order for mankind to understand space; you need a man there to explore it with his own eyes.
